The Clearing Releases Winter Program Catalogs

Registration is now open for The Clearing Folk School’s Winter Program classes, which begin Jan. 7 and end March 1. Over 100 day-classes are being offered this year with an amazing group of volunteer instructors who generously share their time and talent with the community.

The Winter Catalogs are available at the Jens Jensen Visitor Center from Mon. – Fri., 8 am – 4 pm. Registrations are accepted in-person or through the mail prior to the “lottery” deadline date of Dec. 11; thereafter, phone registration is available and classes will be filled on a first come, first registered basis.

The Clearing’s Holiday Open House, scheduled for Dec. 6 and 7, 10 am – 4 pm, is another time to register for classes. Mulled apple cider and tasty treats will be served next to a crackling fire. Plus, $5 raffle tickets are available for prizes that include a free week for the 2013 Summer Resident season (approximately a $890 value), a 2-day 2013 Workshop class (approximately a $150 value), or a $75 gift certificate to the Bookstore and Gift Shop.

In addition, The Clearing will host a “Welcome Winter” wine and cheese fundraiser reception on Dec. 13, 4 – 7 pm, for the new Blacksmith Forge. Taste fine wines, specialty cheeses and holiday sweets while supporting The Clearing’s new Blacksmith Forge building capital campaign. Tickets are $50 per person, reservations required.

The Jens Jensen Visitor Center is located at 12171 Garrett Bay Road in Ellison Bay. For more information, or to receive a catalog, call 920.854.4088 or visit http://www.theclearing.org.
