The Clearing Starts Docent-led Hikes May 5

The Clearing Folk School offers free, docent-led hikes that cover the 128-acre property. These interpretive hiking tours visit the historic buildings and campus led by volunteer docents.

The two-hour hikes begin at 1 pm on Saturdays and Sundays starting May 5, and run through the end of October. Hikers meet at the Jens Jensen Visitor Center. The trail terrain is rugged in places and sturdy walking shoes are highly recommended. No pre-registration is necessary.

The Jens Jensen Visitor Center is open Monday through Friday, 8 am to 4 pm, and Saturday and Sunday from noon to 4 pm. In addition, Open House hours for the historic campus area of the property are every Saturday and Sunday (May through October) from noon to 4 pm.
