The Clearing’s Annual Student Exhibit Celebrates Successful Winter Program

Guided hiking classes were offered in The Clearing’s 2013 Winter Program.

More than 580 students participated in The Clearing Folk School’s 2013 Winter Program. Many of their original works and class displays will be exhibited during the annual Student Exhibit, scheduled for March 2 and 3, 10 am – 4 pm, at the Sister Bay Village Hall. Art, fine crafts, nature studies and projects created during The Clearing’s winter classes will be featured.

The 2013 Winter Program offered 115 classes during January and February. Classes are held on The Clearing campus in Ellison Bay and in homes and business locations throughout the county. A number of classes are also held out of doors with many opportunities for guided hiking in cooperation with the Door County Land Trust, The Nature Conservancy, The Ridges Sanctuary and Whitefish Dunes State Park.

The exhibit is free and open to the public. Guests will also be eligible for door prizes, including a free class.
