The Door County Invasive Species Team (DCIST) wants to know about resident populations of exotic plants. The public is welcome to assist the organization in identifying and documenting the existing and growing populations of invasive species throughout the Door Peninsula.
The DCIST mapping initiative will kick off at their monthly meeting on Thursday, August 26 at 7 pm at Crossroads at Big Creek in Sturgeon Bay. The meeting will feature a presentation on the current invasive species mapping project, an aquatic invasive species quiz, and a short session detailing DCIST mapping protocol and logistics of GPS technology.
