The Eclipse Gallery Opens 50 Artists, 50 States, 50 Mediums

Mark Sauter, an artist living in Algoma, is represented in The Eclipse Gallery’s exhibit 50 Artists, 50 States, 50 Mediums with his wood sculpture “Arc.”

The public is invited to the opening reception of 50 Artists, 50 States, 50 Mediums between 5:30 – 10 pm on September 26 at The Eclipse Gallery in Algoma. The event is free, and refreshments will be served.

Running through December, 50 Artists, 50 States, 50 Mediums is a group exhibition of contemporary art, craft, and design. One artist from each state will represent a different medium, bridging the gap between fine art, and the applied arts, craft, and indie design fields.

The show is curated by Sarah Elizabeth Condon, who states, “I am interested in the intersections between art, craft, and design. This exhibition will not only highlight the importance of all art disciplines, but will also stress the importance of all working artists regardless of their location.”

The Eclipse Gallery is located at 507 Fourth St. Algoma. For more information call 920.487.8060 email [email protected], or visit http://www.theeclipsegallery.com.
