The FHCA Announces Second 2008 Art Studio Tours

The Francis Hardy Center for the Arts (FHCA) in downtown Ephraim is pleased to announce the second 2008 Art Studio Tour taking place on Friday, August 29 from 4 – 9 pm. Enjoy a guided trolley tour with a behind the scenes visit to the studios of some of Door County’s finest working artisans, many of which are nestled off the county’s main traveled roads. Transportation will be provided by Door County Trolley.

The tour will take participants to the studios of artists encaustic artist Anita Winkler, watercolor painter Kathy Stanaszek, and mosaic and stained glass artist Karin Overbeck. Participants will have the opportunity to meet and mingle with the artists while enjoying a private demonstration, refreshments and dinner at the Glidden Lodge Restaurant in Sturgeon Bay. While dinning with a superb view of Lake Michigan, participants will have the choice between three entrees, each served with fresh dinner rolls, homemade soup, and salad made from select mixed greens along with choice of potato.

Reservations are now being accepted for this tour scheduled for Fri., August 29 along with the last tour scheduled for Fri., September 26, which will feature artists Bob and Judi Ekholm, Emmett Johns and Bob Merline. The ticket price per person is $75 (plus tax) and includes transportation by Door County Trolley, hors d’oeuvres, wine, dinner, dessert, and gratuity. Pickup times and location will be given at the time reservations are made.
