The Flying Pig Gallery Welcomes Marcel Flisiuk

Internationally recognized artist Marcel Flisiuk, known for his surreal and colorfully Kafka-esque paintings, will exhibit at the Flying Pig Gallery and Greenspace this season.

Flisiuk was born in Gdynia, Poland, a seaport town on the Baltic shore. While he counts his “moody and sensual Slavic soul” among his formative influences, he was also influenced by another port city, New Orleans.

When Flisiuk arrived in New Orleans at the age of 10, he began to sell his paintings on the street. It was on those streets that he became friends with musicians and craft painters all over Jackson Square, expanding his repertoire to include murals, posters, and CD covers.

Flisiuk has earned his status in artistic enclaves, in the national and international galleries, and among his faithful collectors. An animal and nature lover, he captures his visions in a variety of media, although his primary medium is oil on canvas. He currently resides in South China, Maine.

The Flying Pig Gallery and Greenspace is open 9 am – 6 pm daily and is located at N6975 State Highway 42, Algoma. For more information call 920.487.9902 or email [email protected].
