The Flying Pig Hosts Paintout and Displays New Artist

The Flying Pig Gallery and Greenspace in Algoma invites the public to the 3rd Annual Plein Air Paintout on July 28 from 10 am – 4 pm. Guests are invited to bring digital devices, sketchbooks, paints, a comfy chair and a hat to paint the natural gardens of The Flying Pig.

At the paintout, Tammy Naze and Cheryl Murphy of Watercolor Harps will perform from 10:30 am – 12:30 pm.

Also, The Flying Pig Gallery welcomes Keith Fry to their roster of artists. Fry, of Appleton, has a MA from the University of Iowa School of Art with a major in paintings and a minor in art history and drawing. His work ranges from fully abstract to somewhat representational.

Fry says of his work, “They pretty much speak for themselves. About half of the things I do have a connection to music. I like music and I listen to music and it seems to permeate a lot of what I do.”

Fry has exhibited throughout northeast Wisconsin and is represented in private and public collections throughout the United States. His work will be exhibited at The Flying Pig throughout this season.

The Flying Pig is located at N6975 Highway 42, two miles south of Algoma, and is open daily from 10 am – 5 pm. For more information call 920.487.9902 or visit http://www.theflyingpig.biz.
