The Hardy Gallery Announces Prospectus for Member Exhibit

The Hardy Gallery will unveil the newest addition to the Peninsula State Park’s year-long Centennial Celebration with a member exhibition featuring artwork inspired by one of Wisconsin’s state treasure on Friday, September 4 at its opening reception for “The Hardy Celebrates:  A Century of Inspiration.” The exhibit will run from September 5 through October 13.

The 3,776 acres of Peninsula State Park have always been a popular subject for visual artists of all styles. In keeping with namesake Francis Howe Hardy’s vision to protect and enrich the strong artistic talent abound by artists of the area, the Hardy Gallery is pleased to present this exhibition dedicated to all things inspired by the park.

Any individual holding a current Hardy Gallery membership at the Artistic Level is eligible to submit work. Entrants must be or become members of the Hardy Gallery before the exhibit or at the time of registration. New members are always welcome to join and membership applications and information about membership benefits can be obtained at the Hardy Gallery on Anderson Dock or by visiting http://www.thehardy.org. A one-year Artistic membership is $50.

Artists must register in order to participate, and must notify the Hardy Gallery of their intent to participate in the exhibit by emailing [email protected] or by calling the Hardy Office at 920.854.2210 before Friday, August 14, 2009. Artwork for the show will need to be delivered to the Hardy Gallery on Sunday, August 30 from 3 – 5 pm, or on Monday, August 31 from 8 am – noon.
