The History of Mushing

Door County Sled Dogs Education/Discovery Center Museum in Ephraim.

The Door County Sled Dogs Education & Discovery Center/Museum opens its doors for their third season in Ephraim this Memorial Day weekend. The Museum is featuring new exhibits this year in addition to interesting information about the history of mushing.

Visitors have the opportunity to tour the museum and meet the sled dog team and their mushers on Wednesdays and Saturdays from 1-3 pm. Discounted admission is available on Tuesdays and Fridays, when guests can meet an authentic sled dog, and tour the museum for just $2. The Center/Museum is open from noon until 4 pm all four days.
