The Ladder House of Sturgeon Bay Presents Victoria Vox

On Feb. 18 national touring artist Victoria Vox will take the stage at the Ladder House in Sturgeon Bay.

Even before the official release date of her debut ukulele album (Victoria Vox and Her Jumping Flea) in 2006, Vox was offered an endorsement deal with KoAloha Ukuleles. The disc was featured on NPR’s “To The Best of Our Knowledge” and its songs were picked up for licensing in television and independent films. Known for her refreshingly modern and rhythmic ukulele technique, Vox has continued to propel her original style towards the contemporary with her 2010 release, Exact Change.

Vox received a degree in songwriting from Berklee College of Music, and she has received a variety of music awards. She has been included in Relix Magazine’s list of artists to watch and won a WAMA in 2009 for Folk-Contemporary Vocalist. She also appeared on the Jay Leno Show to demonstrate her mouth trumpet.

Originally from Green Bay, Vox now lives in Baltimore, and plays at a variety of venues across the United States, Europe, and Canada.

The performance is sponsored by Ministry Door County Medical Center. Tickets will cost $10 at the door. The Ladder House is located at 38th S. 3rd Avenue in Sturgeon Bay. For more information and/or table reservations call 920.493.5979.
