“The Lady’s Not for Burning” Cast Hosts Post-Show Chat

Now on stage at Peninsula Players through August 10 is Christopher Fry’s poetic comedy, The Lady’s Not for Burning, and on Friday, Aug. 8, actors will host a post-show discussion after the performance. Anyone attending that evening is welcome to stay after the show and participate.

“We have several post-show discussions throughout the season,” said Business Manager Audra Baakari Boyle. “Our previous discussions have been well received. Having hosted back-stage tours, I know patrons always have a variety of questions to ask, and we wanted to provide an avenue for them to get an answer…Artistic Director Greg Vinkler who is also director of The Lady’s Not for Burning, will answer questions specific to the play. ”

Laced with wit, Fry’s play is often touted by critics as the best Shakespeare play Shakespeare never wrote.

The Players perform Tuesdays through Saturdays at 8 pm and Sundays at 7:30 pm. A matinee performance of The Lady’s Not for Burning will be held at 4 pm Sunday, Aug. 10. Ticket prices are $32.25 and $29; there are no performances on Mondays.
