The Miller Art Museum Calls for Entries

The Miller Art Museum invites artists to submit up to two pieces in two-dimensional media for the upcoming 35th Juried Annual: A 5 County Exhibit. This exhibit gives both emerging and professional artists 18 years or older in northeast Wisconsin an opportunity to participate in a large group show, juried by art professionals. Artists in Brown, Door, Kewaunee, Manitowoc, and Oconto counties are invited to enter.

The postmark entry deadline is Saturday, September 18. To receive an application form, call the office at 920.746.0707, email [email protected], or pick one up at the museum.

Works must be original, completed within the last two years, and not previously exhibited in Door County. Works may or may not be for sale. Entries must be submitted in digital jpg format on one CD with the image only. Do not include the frame in the photos. All other details are included in the application form.

The panel of jurors will award cash awards of Special Merit and Honorable Mention. The Gerhard CF Miller Award of Excellence is also a cash award accompanied by a beautiful medallion created and donated by Hermke Timm of MintMasters.

An opening reception is scheduled for Monday, November 15 from 7 – 8:30 pm when awards will be announced and refreshments served. The exhibit will continue through December 28, 2010. The museum is located 107 S 4th Avenue in Sturgeon Bay.
