‘The Nature of Things’ Reception at Woodwalk

Woodwalk Gallery opens their new exhibit, The Nature of Things, on June 27. The show features Wisconsin native Robert Gehrke, Door County resident Faith Frykman and internationally known pastel artist Colette Odya Smith.

Gehrke’s talent ranges from bronze to wood to oils to resin sculptures, each stretching the imagination with what the given material can do. He unexpectedly died this spring and Woodwalk is honored to pay tribute to his talents.

Frykman captures the very essence of the many birds here in the county and elsewhere. Smith is a Master Pastelist and captures nature at its most subtle and in all its grandeur with pastel and watercolor. She has exhibited in Europe and China as well as teaching both here and abroad.

Artists demos will be held on June 27, 2-3:30pm, and a reception featuring refreshments, finger food, and live music will play from 4-6pm. Woodwalk is open daily 10am-5pm, and Saturdays 10am-3pm. For more information, visit woodwalkgallery.com.
