“The Other Side of the Door” Photography Exhibit at Glas

United Way of Door County’s photography exhibit entitled “The Other Side the Door” is on display at Glas Coffeehouse in Sturgeon Bay during the month of July.

The exhibit is the result of a program that distributed 50 disposable cameras to funded partners of the United Way. Participants took pictures of a day in the life of a Door County resident who benefits from a program that the United Way of Door County funds. Twenty-five of the best photos were chosen, enlarged, and framed for the exhibit.

“‘The Other Side of the Door’ aims to educate residents and visitors about the true Door County,” said Christine Salmon. “We are known as a county for many reasons – the natural beauty, the delicious food, the comfortable resorts, the quality of our arts – but none of these could exist without our people. The United Way of Door County exists to provide support to our people.”

A short video series was also created as part of this effort and can be viewed on YouTube by searching United Way of Door County.

Glas showcases the work of a new artist each month and is currently seeking artists for the upcoming fall season. Those interested in displaying can email [email protected] with photos of their art.
