The Ridges Fireside speaker series continues on March 12 at 6 pm. Pull up a chair around the wood burning stove as Dale Seaquist of Seaquist Orchards leads a lively discussion on the orchard industry and its role in Door County’s history. Seaquist Orchards, a family owned business established in 1986, features products that are locally grown and locally processed. In addition to their Farm Market and bakery, Seaquist’s production facility is also open for public viewing. Admission to the Fireside series programs is free. Donations are welcome.
On March 14 at 6:30 pm, join a Ridges naturalist for a Pi Day Hike in celebration of this essential mathematical constant. This will be a lighthearted celebration of math with some fun facts, a hike and pie. Fees are $5/adult for Ridges members and $8/ adult for the general public. Children under 18 hike free.
Both programs meet at the Marshall Cabin, 8288 Cty Q in Baileys Harbor. For more information on these and other program offerings at The Ridges, visit RidgesSanctuary.org or call 920.839.2802.
