The Ridges of Baileys Harbor Hosts Work Day

To help prepare The Ridges Sanctuary for winter, the sanctuary is holding a Volunteer Work Day on October 1 from 8:30 am – noon. Members and non-members of all ages are invited to help with both indoor and outdoor projects. There are a variety of jobs for those with all levels of expertise. Families are especially welcome to help.

Volunteers will batten down the buildings and the trails, haul wood chips, rake, clear trails, wash windows, spruce up the cedar signs and posts, and more. Volunteers are welcome to drop in any time and spend whatever amount of time they wish. A chili lunch will be served at noon by The Ridges staff.

The Ridges Sanctuary, a non-profit nature preserve, is located just north of Baileys Harbor at 8288 Highway Q. Trails are open to the public year round for a small fee (members may hike at no charge). For more information call 920.839.2802 or visit http://www.RidgesSanctuary.org.
