The Scots Are Coming to Baileys Harbor

Organizers of the Door County Scottie Rally encourage everyone to pull out their ruby slippers, tin hat or any other attire that’s reminiscent of The Wizard of Oz and join the annual Parade of Scots on May 20. The theme for the 23rd fundraising rally is The Wonderful Wizard of Scotz.

Spectators may see some Scottish Terrier scarecrows, cowardly lions and dogs in tin hats as they strut their Scottitude in the parade – led by Clan Donald Bagpipes and Drums, and best seen 11:25 am – 12 pm around the Baileys Harbor Town Hall, 2392 Cty F. The parade route travels east from Juniper Ridge Road on County F/EE, down Park Street to Highway 57, and returns on County F/EE.More than $484,000 has been donated to Scottish Terrier health research and rescue since the rally started in 2001.
