The Search is On for Marsh Marigolds

Go “In Search of Marsh Marigolds” at Crossroads at Big Creek on May 17, 1 pm. Join the naturalist in a gentle ramble beside Big Creek in search of Marsh Marigolds (Cowslips) and other spring wildflowers. Hikers should meet at the Collins Learning Center and wear shoes that can get wet. This hike will last about an hour, and is free and open to the public.

The Door County Environmental Council brings Kimberlee Wright, executive director of Midwest Environmental Advocates of Madison to Crossroads on May 21 at 7 pm.

Wright will present a free seminar called, “From Industrial Livestock Farms to Mining for Sand and Iron: How Citizens Defend Our Natural Heritage.” She will discuss current and proposed efforts to protect the environment and the rights of citizens from threats, which may affect the future health and welfare of Wisconsin. The program is free and open to the public.
