The UU Fellowship & Write On, Door County Hold Writing Workshop

The UU Fellowship and Write On, Door County are co-sponsoring a writing workshop, “Writing and Living on the Threshold,” on Sept. 27, 1:30 – 3:30 pm.

Karen Hering, workshop presenter, explains the focus: “A threshold, whether physical or emotional, is a place of great vitality and exchange, where new greets old, where outside meets inside, where stranger crosses over to become friend. This guided session, for writers and non-writers alike, invites you to explore the thresholds in your own life as places of heightened awareness and possibility.”

Hering serves as consulting literary minister at Unity Church-Unitarian in St. Paul. Her book, Writing to Wake the Soul: Opening the Sacred Conversation Within, received the 2014 Silver Nautilus Award recognizing “literary contributions to spiritual growth, conscious living … responsible leadership and positive social change.” She leads guided writing sessions and retreats and teaches at the Loft Literary Center and the Collegeville Institute for Ecumenical and Cultural Research. Visit karenhering.com for more information.

The workshop fee is $10; advanced registration before Sept. 25 is appreciated. All are welcome. To register, call 920.854.7559 or email [email protected]. The Unitarian Universalist Fellowship of Door County is located at 10341 Hwy. 42 in north Ephraim.
