The Wonderful World of Paper Art

Nancy Akerly of Liberty Grove Paper Arts is gearing up for a full season of classes in 2022.

She’ll begin by working with San Diego Book Arts to offer numerous classes through its Year of Box program. Akerly will teach Chinese Thread Book on Jan. 27-28, Basic Treasure Box on Feb. 10, Lotus Box on March 14 and Quarter Box on April 4-5. Learn from Akerly during classes at The Clearing in Ellison Bay as well. She’ll offer Box of Wonders May 15-21, when participants will gather small treasures and memories to create miniature books, scrolls, envelopes, boxes, drawers and other niches. Then join Akerly July 3-9 for a Paper Arts Journey: a time to create beautiful paper, then use it to form hardbound books, boxes and other treasures.
