The Woven Fashion of Vivian Morrison at Bazyli Studio

Bazyli Studio Wearable Art in Baileys Harbor features the hand-woven jackets, vests and scarves of Illinois weaver/fiber artist Vivian Morrison. Morrison has been weaving since the mid-1970s. She comes from Swedish heritage and her work pays homage to traditional Swedish textiles, while embracing the contemporary. She weaves with fine yarns on a multiple harness loom, focusing on the natural fibers of cotton, linen, silk and wool. The results are colorful and timeless, complex and exquisite. She was one of two featured artists at the Swedish American Museum in Chicago in the Fall of 2008.
