Therma-Tron-X Wins Educational Partnership Award

Every year the NEW Manufacturing Alliance acknowledges companies and educators who stand out for their collaboration efforts and best practices, and this year the alliance has honored Therma-Tron-X (TTX) with its Excellence in Manufacturing and K-12 Partnerships Award.

The School District of Sevastopol nominated TTX not only for its support during last fall’s successful school referendum, but also for its continual guidance in helping the school’s technology-education program create a vision for the future.

“With the construction of the new facility opening in the fall of 2021, we wanted to make sure that we had more than a bunch of new equipment,” said Sevastopol technology-education teacher Dan Sanborn. “From the very beginning, the Andreae family at TTX wanted to know what we were hoping to accomplish and how we planned on getting there. They were instrumental not just in providing an incredible financial contribution for the facility, but also giving advice on program development. They set up business tours and helped make connections to see new technology in action. It is easy in the education world to get tunnel vision of what goes on inside the school walls, and TTX helped us form the larger world view we are embracing and hoping to provide for our students.”

The awards ceremony – which will also serve as a fundraising event to provide college scholarships to northeast Wisconsin students – will be held Oct. 29 at Green Bay’s KI Convention Center.
