Third Avenue Playhouse of Sturgeon Bay Hosts Fundraiser Event

Third Avenue Playhouse will present a fundraiser event on Saturday, April 16. The fun will begin at 6 pm with refreshments in the back room addition of the theater followed by Laugh Your Taxes Off, featuring the stand-up comedy of Mike Mercury and Roger Radley at 7:30 pm.

Currently under renovation, the theater is raising money to convert the back room addition to a versatile, multi-purpose space which will facilitate fundraising events and function as a small studio theater.

Audiences may remember Mike Mercury and Roger Radley as two of the original cheeseheads from The Cheesehead Monologues. Mercury is a professional stand-up comedian and writer. After working in Los Angeles for a number of years at the world renowned Comedy Store, Mercury returned to Wisconsin. He has opened for Louis Anderson, Robin Williams, and Sam Kinison.

Roger Radley is an award-winning comedian who has been performing comedy for over 25 years. He has headlined at comedy clubs, produced his own shows for theaters, and written for other nationally-touring comedians, sharing the stage with such stars as George Carlin, Johnny Cash, and B.B. King.

Tickets for Laugh Your Taxes Off are $20 and include food, a cash bar and a full-length comedy show. Tickets can be purchased at the theatre box office at 239 N.
