Third Avenue Playhouse Presents “Tuesdays with Morrie”

The Third Avenue Playhouse will feature the stage adaptation of Mitch Albom’s moving tribute to his beloved mentor, Tuesdays With Morrie on Oct. 7 – 10 and 14 – 17. Thursday, Friday, and Saturday performances are 7:30 pm. Sunday matinees are at 2 pm.

Albom met Professor Morrie Schwartz during his days at Brandeis where Schwartz became not only his teacher, but his friend and mentor. Years later, Albom learns that Schwartz is dying of Lou Gehrig’s disease and travels to Boston to reconnect with his old friend. Eventually, he and Morrie decide to meet every week – on Tuesdays.

Mark Moede stars as Morrie, heartbreakingly ill but overflowing with life, and Ross Dippel stars as Mitch, the fast-talking journalist who undergoes a gradual transformation in his former teacher’s presence. Directed by Arthur Hopper, the two men create an intimate and powerful theatrical experience.

Tickets for Tuesdays With Morrie are $15 for adults and $12 for seniors and students. Tickets are on sale at the theater box office, open Monday – Friday, 10 am – 3 pm, located at 239 N. Third Avenue, Sturgeon Bay and one hour prior to performances. Tickets are also available at Dancing Bear, 13 N. Third Avenue, Java on Jefferson, corner of Fifth & Jefferson, and online at http://www.ThirdAvenuePlayhouse.com.
