Parallel 44’s third vintage of Baco Noir is now available at Parallel 44 Vineyard & Winery in Kewaunee. Just like their 2013 vintage these Baco Noir grapes were grown in a little vineyard just south of the winery in Manitowoc County.
The Baco Noir is of French parentage and reminiscent of a Burgundy style wine. This wine evokes the verve and bounce of a “New World” wine region, but also the elegance and nuance of European “Old World” finesse.
Baco Noir has rich black currant aromas with a lingering raspberry, lavender, and black cherry finish. Its tannins offer mid-palate structure with a racy acidity, making it an exquisite wine to pair with bold meats such as steak or wild game. The 2014 vintage of Baco Noir is a great wine to enjoy right now, but it will develop incredible nuance and structure over time. For Parallel 44 hours, call 888.932.0044 or visit parallel44.com.
