Third World Marketplace at SOTB

Shepherd of the Bay’s Annual Fall Sale is set for Saturday, October 3 from 9:30 am – 2:30 pm.

Lunch will be available from 11 am – 1 pm in the church’s Fellowship Hall, with Janet Johnson serving as head chef for the day. The menu includes Pasta a Fagioli soup, toasted Wisconsin cheese sandwiches with apple slices, apple and pumpkin bars as well as coffee and lemonade. Items will be available as a package or priced individually.

The church’s sale, organized by Priscilla Murphy, features harvest vegetables, fruits, flowers, and homemade bakery. There will also be good-as-new rummage at Grandma’s Attic.

An annual feature of the Saturday sale is the Third World Marketplace, Shepherd of the Bay’s outreach program supporting the work of artisans throughout the world. Featured items include toys, jewelry, beadwork, and textiles, as well as a unique variety of handmade instruments. Dozens of nativities from other cultures as well as fairly traded coffees, teas, and chocolates will also be available. The church’s outreach program works with SERRV International and MAYAWORKS to provide economic assistance to artisans and their impoverished communities.
