This Old Barn: The Kroll Barn: A Classic Red Barn in Egg Harbor

Bill and Carol Kroll own and maintain this classic red barn – with an attached milk house and silo – in Egg Harbor. Bill, a former Sturgeon Bay high school teacher, taught during the school year and helped his brother to farm during the summertime. It was his brother who had originally purchased the small farm, and Bill bought the farmhouse and barn from him around 1970. For about a decade, the barn housed Holstein calves, but now it’s used for storage. The Krolls have painted, roofed and replaced windows in the barn to keep it in top condition.
