Get involved with Crossroads at Big Creek’s land-restoration efforts April 29, 9-11 am, through its Habitat Healers program. Wear clothing and footwear that can get dirty and wet, and take a water bottle. Crossroads will provide training, gloves, equipment, lemonade and cookies.

Also on April 29, school-aged students and their families may participate in hands-on, indoor and outdoor activities pertaining to basic soil science during the Science Saturday program. It takes place 2-4 pm.

The Crossroads Bird Club will hold its next meeting May 2, 6:30 pm. Attendees will venture into the preserve in search of migrating birds following a short program about warbler mnemonics. Meet at Crossroads’ Collins Learning Center, 2041 Michigan St. in Sturgeon Bay.
