This Weekend in Door County: Blessing of the Fleet and Outdoor Fun

Last weekend, Memorial Day festivities unofficially signaled the beginning of summer throughout Door County. This weekend, the fun continues with a full schedule of events.

Blessing of the Fleet

The 4th annual Blessing of the Fleet will take place June 1 at the Bailey’s Harbor Marina. Start Saturday off with Arts and Crafts on the Town Hall Lawn at 9 am and be sure to stick around for the Blessing of the Fleet Ceremony with Pastor Sue at 11 am. Enjoy live music and food throughout the day. New this year, the Paddle Race begins at 11:30 am and is open to kayakers of all skill levels. Side Pork Festival and Hog Wild Run

Indulge in some side pork under the sun this Saturday (June 1) at Martin Park, Sturgeon Bay. Live music all day. Get your blood pumping before your side port feast at the Hog Wild Run from 7 am – 8:15 am. Registration on-site.

This weekend, enjoy all kinds of live music, from Luma Knotty’s “reggae space funk” to Mickey Grasso, “a rock n roll music machine”. This Friday (May 31) look out for Girls of Small Forest, Doc Westring and Friends, Seth and Mark Raddatz, Cathy Grier and the Troublemakers, Moonlighters, and Zach Vogel. This Saturday (June 1) check out Jamie Lynn Fletcher, Scott Dercks, Luma Knotty, Until Dawn, Solomon Lindenberg, The Sweet Lilies, Mickey Grasso and Landscape Guitar.
