This Week’s Activities at Crossroads at Big Creek

It’s going to be a week of fun and games at Crossroads at Big Creek, starting with Science Saturday on Jan. 28, 1-4 pm. Stop by the Collins Learning Center to explore science through games, and enjoy hot chocolate and a fire.

The Quantum Revolution lecture series will continue Jan. 28, 1-4 pm, at the Stonecipher Astronomy Center, 2200 Utah St. Tom Minahan leads this free series that follows the theoretical and experimental development of quantum physics and the quantum nature of matter and energy. The Wild Ones of Door County will host a free lecture Jan. 31, 6:30 pm, in the Collins Learning Center. During “Keystone Plants for Pollinators,” learn which plants are most helpful in enhancing landscapes to attract pollinators. 

Puppeteer Nancy Hawkins will present a puppet show for the preschool-aged children of the Junior Nature Club on Feb. 1, 10 am. A short nature program will follow outdoors if conditions allow; otherwise, it will take place at the wildlife exhibit. Meet at the Collins Learning Center.

If conditions allow, members of Friends of Crossroads and Door County Silent Sports will offer Ski for Free on Saturdays, 9:30 am – 3:30 pm, and Sundays, 12:30-3 pm. Check the conditions and open hours at crossroadsatbigcreek.org.
