Three County Teams Drop Non-League Games

The three Door County varsity boys basketball teams in action Monday night all lost their home non-conference games.

At Southern Door, the Eagles fell to Sheboygan Falls, 63-47.

The Falcons, who led by only four points at halftime, outscored Southern Door 31-19 in the second half.

The Eagles were led by Drew Daoust, who scored a game-high 25 points. Sheboygan Falls had two players score in double figures with Carter Korff tallying 18 points and Brady Schneider adding 17 points.

Southern Door, which dropped its season record to 0-2, will seek its first victory Thursday in its Packerland Conference opener at Peshtigo.

Gillett 60, Gibraltar 36

Gibraltar opened the season with a 60-36 loss to Gillett.

The Vikings, who trailed 30-21, at halftime, were led by Braden Sitte with 20 points. The Tigers had three players score in double figures led by Jesse DeBauch with a game-high 22 points.

Gibraltar (0-1) plays its conference opener Thursday at Kewaunee.

Wausaukee 52, Sevastopol 39

Sevastopol tasted defeat for the first time this season with a 52-39 loss to Wausaukee,

The Pioneers, who trailed 22-16 at halftime, had nine different players score, led by Lucas Delsart with seven points. Logan Schuh and Zaul Valdivia each added six points.

Sevastopol (1-1) has another non-conference game set for Thursday at Mishicot before the Packerland opener Dec. 5 at Southern Door.
