Three Events, One Day in Sister Bay

Come to Sister Bay on June 13 and experience three different events in one day at Waterfront Park. Start by trying out kayaking or stand up paddleboarding at Paddlefest from 11 am – 4 pm at the Sister Bay Beach. Watch the goats and people in goofy attire at the annual Roofing of the Goats Parade at 12:30 pm. Then tantalize taste buds at the third annual Sip & Savor, 1 – 5 pm.

Join or watch the festivities of the third annual Roofing of the Goats Parade with a new Goat Plop contest. All goats are invited to participate in the parade. Buy a ticket for the Goat Plop contest day-of, or ahead of time at: Al Johnson’s Swedish Restaurant & Butik, Husby’s Food & Spirits, Sister Bay Visitor Center or the KOINONIA Cupboard Food Pantry. If a goat poops on your mark, you’re entered to win a Fat Tire Cruiser Bicycle, 2014 custom edition, from New Belgium Brewery. Parade line-up starts at 11 am in the parking lot on east Mill Road. The parade route is on Hwy. 42 from Mill Road to Al Johnson’s Swedish Restaurant.

From 1 – 5 pm, swirl and sample wine and hard cider under the tents by the Sister Bay Marina from seven Door County wineries, savor cheese from regional cheesemakers, and taste Sister Bay restaurants’ select menu items. Tickets are $25 for wine, cheese and food; $15 for food and cheese; and $5 for kids 10 and younger.

Enjoy the sounds of musicians Nick Steingart of The Nicks (1 – 3 pm), and Terry Murphy with Last Man Standing (3 – 5 pm) throughout the afternoon. For more information, call 920.854.2812 or email [email protected].
