Thrills on Third Returns to Sturgeon Bay Oct. 26

Watch out for spooky characters Oct. 26 during the eighth annual Thrills on Third – sponsored by Quantum PC Services – throughout Sturgeon Bay’s historic Third Avenue. Visit sturgeonbay.net to see a full event schedule.

Costume-parade participants should gather at Community Foundation Square, 222 N. 3rd Ave., at 9:45 am for costume judging. The costume parade is open to all, including pets, but floats are not permitted. At 10 am, all participants will march down Third Avenue to Martin Park. Awards will go to the first-, second- and third-place best costumes and the best pet costume. After the parade, walk along Third Avenue to trick-or-treat at participating businesses until 1pm.

The Boys and Girls Club (BAGC), 55 S. 3rd Ave., will host a variety of activities, 10 am – 1 pm, including its fundraiser Grills and Thrills, during which the club will serve burgers, hot dogs and other snacks. It will also collect items for its boots and snow pants drive. Don’t miss a walk through BAGC’s spine-chilling haunted house, and stop by the Teen Center to watch Halloween movies

Also enjoy a slime-making session at the Door County Library, 10 am – 1 pm; and Cherry Lanes Arcade Bar will host a Halloween Party for all ages until 8 pm.
