Thrills On Third Returns to Sturgeon Bay Oct. 28

Watch out for the spooky characters you may come across at the 6th annual Thrills on Third event happening throughout historic Third Avenue in Sturgeon Bay on Oct. 28. The day begins at 9am where there will be plenty of family friendly activities.

Head over to the Artists Guild from 9-11am where they will host a free pumpkin painting activity. Kids are welcome to paint and decorate pumpkins on a first-come, first-served basis. Two hundred small/medium pumpkins are provided by Artists Guild and Bordeau Farms. Participants are encouraged to bring a canned good to donate to Lakeshore CAP.

The Door County Library in Sturgeon Bay will hold a slime making session from 9 am – 12 pm.

Don’t forget to make your way to the Boys & Girls Club of Door County from 10 am to 1 pm to walk through their spine-chilling haunted house. After you experience the haunted house, take part in the “Lights on After School” activities as part of the Boys & Girls Club. There will be six different stations of activities highlighting various programs, which are: academics, workforce development, food program, healthy lifestyles, mentoring, and arts program. Activities will include a photo booth, coloring, ring toss, and more.

Parade participants should gather at Martin Park at 12:45 pm for costume judging. The costume parade is open to all, including pets. Floats are not permitted. At 1 pm, all participants will march down Third Avenue to the clock tower at the corner of Third and Kentucky. After the parade, participants are encouraged to walk back along Third Avenue to take part in trick-or-treating at participating businesses until 3 pm.
