Tickets On Sale for Birch Creek’s La Soiree Parisienne

Birch Creek Music Performance Center joins The Board Room at Liberty Square, Egg Harbor, in presenting La Soiree Parisienne – an evening to remember on Friday, November 20. A gala French dinner and intimate jazz concert will be held to benefit Birch Creek. Hosts Pamela & Richard Wegner and Chris Anderson begin the evening at The Board Room at Liberty Square by serving a French, four-course dinner with complementary wine pairings. Guests will travel three miles east to Birch Creek’s Juniper Hall for a jazz concert featuring Birch Creek faculty members Reggie Thomas, piano and Rick Haydon, guitar.

Thomas and Haydon are back in the county for “Artists in the Schools,” Birch Creek’s outreach program where workshops for Door County high school percussion students are held in the new Rehearsal Center at Birch Creek. The musicians/educators will also travel to Washington Island, where they will work with island students in coordination with music instructor Dan Hanson. Their visit to Door County will culminate with La Soiree Parisienne, a night of elegant food and memorable jazz.

In addition to being faculty members at Birch Creek, both Thomas and Haydon are professors of music at Southern Illinois University Edwardsville and work with Jazz at Lincoln Center’s Band Director Academy.
