The Settlement Farmers Market in Fish Creek opened for the season with its Wednesday markets on June 10. It is the market’s 13th season.

The market features locally grown veggies, fruits, plants, handmade Door County soaps, lavender, alpaca products, kombucha beverages, as well as many types of kitchen and garden crafts. New this year, Bayside Bakery on Wheels, Door County’s only bakery on wheels, will offer a fresh lunch so shoppers can enjoy a snack or lunch while shopping or take it with them to enjoy a picnic later. Also new this season, Vita Della Terra Vineyards of Door County features homemade jams and marinades made with grapes and Door County fruits, ready for cooking sauces or eating.

Each week is different as the homegrown fruits and veggies ripen and are harvested. Soon it will be strawberry time and soon after that, sweet and juicy tomatoes will grace the tables. Put Wednesday on the calendar, as the Settlement Market runs 9:30 am – 1:30 pm or sellout. Look for the flag, one mile south of downtown Fish Creek, at 9106 Highway 42. In case of stormy weather, the market will be canceled until the next week, but will go on with a light sprinkle. For more information, call 920.868.3788.
