“Todey & Croatian Heritage” Presented at Sevastopol Historical Society Meeting

On June 29 at 7 pm, the Sevastopol Historical Society will present “Todey & Croatian Heritage” at the Sevastopol Town Hall, 4528 Hwy 57. Sue Todey of Sevastopol will share the story of her grandfather Jacob, who, with other Croatian and Slavic immigrants, came to America to escape poverty and search for a better life to work in the farming, mining and forestry trades. Todey’s homestead has been in the family for nearly 100 years and she will also be sharing photos and stories from recent travels to Croatia. The program is free and everyone is welcome.
