Tony Shahloub Named Olde Ellison Bay Days Grande Marshal

A Door County tradition continues with Ellison Bay’s 47th Annual Olde Ellison Bay Days Festival, scheduled for June 28 & 29. This year’s theme is “Feed the Fish,” selected in recognition of the film of that title starring Tony Shalhoub, star of the television series Monk. Produced by Michael Matzdorf, Feed the Fish has become a favorite among Door County residents and attracted many seasonal visitors and vacationers to the county since it was filmed here during the winter of 2008.

Shalhoub, who plays the irascible local sheriff in this comedy, has consented to serve as Grande Marshal of the Olde Ellison Bay Days Grande Parade.

According to Kim Shumway, president of the Ellison Bay Service Club, sponsor of Olde Ellison Bay Days, surprises and prizes for festival visitors will be as awesome as ever and raffle tickets will be sold to support club projects. Prizes include Green Bay Packers tickets, a Leinenkugel Kayak and a Salmon Fishing Charter for two.

Parking and admission to Olde Ellison Bay Days are free.
