“Top Chef” May Include Door County

The 21st season of Bravo TV’s Top Chef competition will be coming to Wisconsin, and that may include Door County in some way. Bravo announced in a statement published July 11 that Madison and Milwaukee will be the show’s primary locations.

The Milwaukee Journal Sentinel reported that the show is being produced in partnership with the Wisconsin Economic Development Corporation, and being made in cooperation with Travel Wisconsin, Visit Milwaukee, Destination Madison, the Dairy Farmers of Wisconsin, the Wisconsin State Cranberry Growers Association and Destination Door County – but what Door County’s involvement will be wasn’t specifically announced.

“It has been great to be a part of it and help shine the spotlight on Wisconsin,” said  Jon Jarosh, chief communications Officer for Destination Door County. “The production company has been pretty tightlipped about the details. We don’t expect filming to take place here, but Door County will be represented in some way.”Kristen Kish, who won Season 10 of the Top Chef series in 2013, will be taking the show’s reins from Padma Lakshmi, who left the series in June after 19 seasons. Tom Colicchio and perennial judge Gail Simmons will both return to the judges’ table for season 21.
