Top Shelf Gourmet Has Rush Creek Reserve Cheese

The seasonal Rush Creek Reserve cheese is now available at Sister Bay’s Top Shelf Gourmet, a gourmet grocery that carries a variety of award-winning domestic and international cheeses.

Uplands Cheese in Dodgeville, Wisconsin, produces Rush Creek Reserve, and cheese lovers cherish it for its creamy richness. It’s available only during the late fall because it uses milk from cows whose diet is switching from the summer pasture to winter hay.

According to the cheesemaker’s website: “This rich milk is perfect for a cheese like Rush Creek – so soft and decadent that it’s often referred to as savory custard. Each cheese is wrapped in spruce bark, which gives shape to the cheese and imparts a subtle woodsy flavor.”

Pick up the soft cheese as an indulgent holiday appetizer to eat with bread or crackers, or to serve it with roasted vegetables as a savory side.
