It’s Tournament Time at Red Putter

It’s tournament time again at The Red Putter Miniature Golf. Players are busy qualifying and practicing for the 15th annual Red Putter Pro Tournament. The top prize is $2,000 – one of the largest for a miniature golf tournament. Pros will come from near and far to compete for the prize money, trophy and, of course, the coveted Red Jacket.

The Red Putter Pro Tournament will be held Aug. 6 at The Red Putter Miniature Golf in north Ephraim. This is the only professional miniature golf tournament in the area, and draws 80 to 100 players from all over the country.

Golfers may enter The Red Putter Pro Tournament for a fee of $30, and must pre-qualify with a score under par on the course. Registered players practice for free the week of the tournament.

Sign in begins at 8 am Saturday morning, with tournament play beginning at 9 am. Three rounds of golf are played, followed by a lunch served by the Mink River Basin. First place wins $2,000, a trophy, pro-shirt and The Red Jacket. Second place wins $500, a trophy and pro-shirt. Third place wins $100, trophy and pro-shirt. Best single game wins $100, trophy and pro-shirt.
