Town of Gibraltar Names First Administrator

 The Town of Gibraltar has chosen Travis Thyssen as its first administrator. He signed his contract during a town board meeting May 5, but the town made no further announcement.

Thyssen’s LinkedIn page lists him as the owner of Dream Builders and Developers in Grand Chute, Wisconsin, where he is a member of both the Town of Grand Chute and Outagamie County boards of supervisors.

Gibraltar Town Chair Steve Sohns said Thyssen will start May 23. 

“Hopefully, he can do everything we need,” Sohns said. “Running the town has become more than the supervisor or chair can handle anymore.”

Sohns said Thyssen’s priorities will include managing town staff, budgeting and preparing for future upgrades to the Founders Square area.
