Traffic Impacts on Bayview Bridge Sept. 13-14

The Wisconsin Department of Transportation (WisDOT) is announcing work on the Bayview Bridge in Sturgeon Bay this week that will affect marine traffic under the bridge, and vehicle and pedestrian traffic over the bridge. This is finishing work for the Bayview Bridge rehabilitation project. Crews will add an epoxy overlay and patch areas of the sidewalk across the bridge.

Marine Traffic:

  • Tuesday, Sept. 13 and Wednesday, Sept. 14 from 7 a.m. to 5 p.m. – Marine navigation under the bridge will require a 3-hour advance notice for opening of bridge.
  • Marine traffic that does not need an opening will be able to pass under the bridge at all times.

Vehicle Traffic:

  • Tuesday, Sept. 13 and Wednesday, Sept. 14 – There will be periodic flagging operations, as needed during the day, which may cause some delays to vehicular travel.

Pedestrian Traffic:

  • Tuesday, Sept. 13 and Wednesday, Sept. 14 from 7 a.m. to 5 p.m. – Ahnapee State Trail across the Bayview Bridge will be closed.
