Training Sessions Announced for Door County Civility Project

The newly formed, community-based Door County Civility Project aims to advance the cause of civility in everyday lives of people in our community. Consider becoming a part of the solution by joining with others in the coming activities of the Door County Civility Project.

The Door County Civility Project will offer two scheduled training sessions for individuals to learn more about the project and the “Speak Your Peace” model of civility.

Two single-session training sessions are scheduled on: June 11, 10 am to 12 pm, at Sturgeon Bay City Hall, first floor meeting room; and June 27, 6 – 8 pm, Door County Library, Jane Green room.

Individuals from the Oshkosh Civility Project will provide training. The program will be led by Karen Heikel, a founding member of the core team for the Oshkosh Civility Project and Assistant Vice Chancellor at UW – Oshkosh.

The Door County Civility Project is a fund of the Door County Community Foundation, Inc.; contributions are welcome. For more information or to sign up, visit doorcountycivilityproject.org or call 920.743.1691.
