Travel and the American Imagination is Subject of Next DCA Lecture

On Feb. 15 at 9 am, Door Community Auditorium’s Distinguished Lecture Series will offer a lecture titled “Are We There Yet? Travel and the American Imagination,” presented by St. Norbert College assistant professor of English and director of American studies Deirdre Egan-Ryan.

Egan-Ryan will speak about the ways in which journeying through space is deeply embedded in our national identity. She will explore American appetite for travel and expanded horizons by looking to American literature, maps, advertisements and art.
