Travel Professional Honored

Sue Wehrli, a seasoned travel professional of 45 years, was recently honored for achieving $1,000,000 in travel sales in the past year by the MAST Travel Network, an Illinois-based consortium of Midwest travel agencies.

“I got into the travel industry after a life-changing trip to Brazil in the ’60s,” says Wehrli. “That trip lit the fire to see as much of the world as I could. And I did. Then I wanted to share that with as many people as I could.”

Wehrli, former president & owner of Wehrli Travel in Naperville, Ill., is now working from her lakeside home in Door County as Wehrli Travel. Specializing in family and group travel, honeymoons, safaris and European river cruises she uses her breadth of knowledge and dynamism to help people experience the power of travel.

Also a strong communitarian, Wehrli served on civic and charity boards while in Naperville and has brought that passion for service with her to Door County where she serves on the boards for the United Way of Door County, the Glidden Drive Association and the Sturgeon Bay Rotary.
