Treasured Selection

“Still Running” by Arlene Stanger.

Arlene Stanger’s image “Still Running” was recently selected for an exhibit titled “Treasures” at the A Smith Gallery in Johnson City, Texas. The exhibit was juried by Roy Flukinger, Curator of Photography at the Harry Ransom Center, The University of Texas at Austin, and runs from Jan. 9 through Feb. 15. The gallery will be publishing a book containing all the juried images.

Stanger’s images have been juried locally into the Miller Art Museum in Sturgeon Bay, the Hardy Gallery in Ephraim, and the Guenzel Gallery at the Peninsula School of Art. She has also received Honorable Mentions at the 9th Annual B&W Spider Awards, the Door County Art League Annual Member’s Showcases as well as the Director’s Award at a previous juried exhibit at A Smith Gallery. Her images have also appeared in the Peninsula Pulse’s Hal Prize issues and in juried exhibits in Madison, Wisconsin and Astoria, Oregon.
