Treasures or Trash?

Geri Wegner from Boat House Antiques in Institute, who has volunteered her services to the “Antiques Road Show” in Milwaukee, will appraise items at the old Gibraltar Town Hall on June 10.

In the spirit of the popular PBS Antiques Road Show, the Gibraltar Historical Association is inviting area residents and visitors to have local appraisers examine their “Treasures or Trash.” This Heritage Days event will be held at 7:30 pm Thursday, June 10, at the old Gibraltar Town Hall in Fish Creek.

Antique experts, hobbyists, enthusiasts, and non-experts alike are encouraged to bring their treasured items. The doors will open at 6:30 pm to give people attending time to put their treasured items on display and the appraisers a little more time to evaluate each interesting item.

Appraisers Geri Wegner and Sebastian Riccobono from Boat House Antiques in Institute will try to put a rough value on pictures, jewelry, dishes, glassware, or photographed items. Both have volunteered their services at the Antiques Road Show in Milwaukee and will discuss the care of family heirlooms at the event.

The public is invited to this free event; refreshments will be served. For more information call 920.868.3618.
