Trick-or-Treating: Stay Safe from COVID-19

Because of the widespread community spread of COVID-19 in Door County and elsewhere across the state and country, Halloween will look different this year. To help you be safe, stay healthy and slow the spread of the virus, Door County Public Health – consistent with the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention and the Wisconsin Department of Health – advises against traditional door-to-door trick-or-treating. The regular Halloween tradition is considered a high-risk activity that should be avoided.

See the full Halloween guidance from Door County Public Health here.

All other safety guidelines also remain in place, including mask wearing, avoiding in-person events and gatherings, and frequent handwashing with soap and water for 20 seconds. If you’re sick, even with mild symptoms, remain home. If you have symptoms, get tested.
